Hey Gang,
I got faxed a description of the new Miraphone 282. It's the same bore 19.6-20.4mm and bell, etc. as it's predecessor the 182. The change is that the leadpipe will be longer and enter the 1st valve from the top instead of on the side. "As a result, the instrument responds even easier with a more focused core sound." is what Miraphone says. I thought the 182 was a nice horn. Can't wait to try the new 282. Just a heads up for those looking for a 7/8 size BBb tuba with the workmanship and playability of a professional horn. They will be starting in the next shipments your local Miraphone dealer gets.
