Wallace Practice Mutes

I'm looking for a tuba practice mute and I've been thinking of getting the Wallace Mute. Does anyone have any thoughts on the mute?

According to the page linked to, this type of mute raises the pitch one whole step. I don’t have perfect pitch. Still I might get confused, when playing open after using that mute.
