My son and I carved a pumpkin today. Although I held the knife, I let him call most of the shots. After carving the mouth - happy at his insistence, he insisted that I make the EYES SMALL. I added the eyebrows. Then a BIG NOSE. He had me enlarge it several times until it met his standards, including making it longer. Finally, he mandated GLASSES. I realized that he was trying to draw me on the pumpkin. Check the image to the left to see what I look like in the eyes of a four and a half year old.
At least it won third place at the local Halloween (spelled harvest in this area) festival.
