Nah, the Nirschl 4/4 horns are pretty much 4/4 size. The sound could possibly pass for a 5/4 though..

Nah, the Nirschl 4/4 horns are pretty much 4/4 size.
I would repectfully disagree. The Nirschl MWN-7 is substantially bigger in physical dimensions, and heavier, than any of these tubas, all of which I have played:

Miraphone 186 BBb/CC
Miraphone 188 CC
King/Holton cut CC
Yamaha YCB-822 CC
Alexander 163 CC (5/4)

All of the above are considered mainstream 4/4, except the Alexander.

The Nirschl is virtually the same physical size as the Miraphone 1291, if that helps.
