Looking for Barat Morceau De Concours

Post by fsgazda »

I am looking for the sheet music to the piece Morceau De Concours by J.E. Barat. It has been recorded by Roger Behrend, and I have found sources that say that it is published by Alphonse Leduc, Baron, or B. Crampon. It is on many euphonium syllabi, but it appears to be out of print. I am more than willing to purchase a copy, if one can be found, or am open to other options

Any leads?

I thought that I would revisit this post since I am programming for my next couple of recitals. I tried Interlibrary Loan and was told that it was unavailable. Any thoughts or options from anyone?

Robert King lists only one piece by Barat, Introduction and Danse. Their website search has changed and leaves off needed information, like the publisher.

For example there is a difference between the LeDuc version of Intro & Danse and the Southern Music edition. For $6.95 I would guess it's Southern but it could be anyone. I don't even bother shopping with King anymore.

Good luck finding the Morceau.

The person that recorded this on euph (I am assuming) is Roger Behrend and he is on Facebook. You might try contacting him, directly.
