According to a .001 second Google search on Tuba "Princess and the Frog" the first result is:
wait for it...
Drum Roll...
Big Cymbal crash...

I did work on several sessions of The Princess and the Frog--as a sub and as second tuba--but the 1st call tuba was Doug Tornquist. I understand that he played several solos in the movie.

Re: Princess and frog movie-
Thanks for the clarification, Jim.
I sure wish iMDB was better in tracking the musicians in films - especially those who are featured soloist (or appear as "themselves," sometimes without credit.) That site is so good in listing every animator, every gaffer, etc. but they are often wimpy on music credits!
The HBO Treme show is trying very hard to give full credits to all of the musicians, but they do often just list the name of a band that performs instead of the individual performers. This is good if the band has a website with the members listed, but what will happen a few years from now if the line-up changes?

Re: Princess and frog movie-
To Dave et al,
For many years, In contract negotiations, musicians have tried to get Film Credits but the studios tell us we can either have credits or health insurance. It's frustrating to see the best boy and caterer get credits and not musicians but our choice is obvious. Modern DVD versions often have have a lot of extra footage of music production and sometimes list musicians in the orchestras.

I don't exactly understand the concept of not giving a credit - what does it cost the film company? Don't you get residuals anyway?
oh, here is a great screen shot from the film - don't know if someone would want to make an avatar out of it...
