Jin-Bao double rotor bass trombone

Post by Mcordon1 »

After hours of research, and interest in saving as much money as possible when finally buying a bass trombone, I'm ordering this horn within the next few weeks:

This is definitely a Chinese Jin-Bao instrument. The same model is under Berkeley, M&M, and Schiller(but apparently they don't have that model anymore.) It seems like a copy of the King 7B.

When Schiller had them they were $585, M&M lists them at $895, Berkeley for $700, and whatever unlisted company is from the link above sells them for $700.

They all come with a hard case, mp, gloves(just like with my Chinese bass trumpet), and a couple more small accessories.

I'll post a review the day I get it.

Does anyone have more info about these?

I just sold my bass trombones and switched to tuba. I have not played those bass trombones. Here is a recent thread from the Trombone Forum:

I have always been partial to the Bach Stradivarius 50b3. However the price point for your horn makes it very tempting.

I look forward to a review.

Good luck!
