Re this "discussion" of the value of military bands fueled by Walter Pincus' column in the Washington Post, everyone, including Mr. Pincus, should read Col. Thomas Palmatier's response via a "Letter to the Editor" dated August 28,2010. Col. Palmatier is Commander and Conductor of the US Army Field Band.
