Percussion and euphonium duets?

Post by azeuph2007 »

Does anyone know of any good percussion and euphonium duets? I'm looking for something to play on a recital with a percussionist friend and I haven't found much that has good and decently challenging parts for both instruments.

Any thoughts?

So you have a few choices here. One of the standards is:

Adler Four dialogues for euph and Marimba
http://www.euphonium.com/store/index.ph ... ductId=144

Two other new choices are very different:
Jiro Censhu's Tribute to the East
Sounds very Asian and written for Thomas Ruedi

A new work for euph and percussion ensemble is really driving and exciting: Stephen Barr's Ethereal Wave

Check it out.

There are MP3 (all but the adler) and PDF samples of each of these works on the links.

I hope these offer something new for you.
