Before you get too excited, this post is NOT what you are thinking...
I have a coop with 6 chickens and I want to see them on my iPhone. The coop has 110V and is about 75 feet away from the house. I have a wireless LAN in the house.
Need some guidance on what I need to get (specific recommendations are appreciated) and how to set up the camera (software). I suspect I will need to install another hub in the house closer to the coop.

Chicken videos appear at first, to be a bit kinked.
Why not use a cheap baby monitor?

I am more interested in video, and I think baby monitors only transmit audio (but my kids are all grown up and the technology might be different now). My real interest is to be able to watch them from my iPhone at work, while on business, etc., not just from the house. Thanks for your reply...tubatooter1940 wrote:Chicken videos appear at first, to be a bit kinked.

Surely what you want is a CCTV camera on the coop? I also have chickens and have thought of this, but preliminary research indicated it would cost a lot more than the chickens are worth, so I have not proceeded. If you find an inexpensive way of setting up, I would be interested!
