How many works?
I'm planning a program for a brass quintet Holiday concert. I am trying to keep playing time less than 60 minutes. With introductions, a short intermission and some inter-work talking, this will make the concert run about 90 - 100 minutes. The works I have selected are mostly between 2 to 4 minutes. Right now, I have 20 works on my playlist that toal about 57 minutes opf playing time. This just seems like too many works even though the playing time is less than an hour. What does the TNFJ think?

Re: How many works?
I ALWAYS prefer more, shorter pieces.

I prefer the inclusion of some longer substantial numbers, otherwise it is too much stop start and not satisfying - but that is just personal preference
