Clothes in the tuba

I'm flying with a tuba. Is it ok to pack some clothes alongside the tuba in the flight case?

I do it all the time with my sousaphone case, but it always gets TSA inspected anyway. Make sure you don't exceed the weight limits for your airline - a few pounds over can cost a lot!

I suppose you could put all of your trip clothes and shaving kit inside the Tuba and save on extra bag fees. Saw where airlines made about 4,5 Bill on bag fees.
