Pocket Ensemble
Hello my brass ensemble wants to create a pocket instrument ensemble. I was wondering which tuba would be a god fit for this ensemble? I was looking at the MW Travel Tuba but that is just too expensive for me. I was also thinking of the Dillon's practice tuba witch is well in my price range. Anyone else have any other ideas for a "pocket" tuba? Thank you so much.

Re: Pocket Ensemble
I think a student 3/4 baritone might technically qualify as a "pocket" Tuba.
Too bad you can't afford the MW. It would be perfect. There is also this Cerveny, ca.1900:

Is it still possible to find one of those? A small 3 valved BBb seems good.

The little Yamaha YBB 103 might be good choice. They're always popping up on ebay.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving's probably not for you.

Tornister tubas still are available:

Attractive idea, but for the price.
