Rehearsals begin in March and take place every Thursday night unless the conductor decides to focus on sections for the evening. A couple of Friday rehearsals may also come up on the schedule towards the end.
What I ask is this:
You know the piece and have prepared the part (who around here hasn't
)You have an appropriate instrument in good repair and can play it in tune and blend well - I mean it.
You have transportation (unless you live in Evanston)
You can commit to the rehearsals and concert
You have a good sense of humor
You own a tux
