Laskey Mouthpieces

I have a rotary Neptune and I've been playing in a PT 50 for some time. Clarity has always been a bit of an issue and it's been steadily improving but I feel as if I'm working to hard for the results. It's been said that Laskey mouthpieces, for the most part, help with clarity of articulation and I've been investigating them. I have tried a 30H and I enjoyed the feel and the sound I got however there was a distinct shift in sound quality around the G below the staff. I was wondering if this is a common phenomenon or just a quirk in my embouchure (at least one other person has claimed to have the same problem) and if the 30G or the 30B would be a better fit. Also, whether I'd be better off getting an american shank or a euro shank mouthpiece for a Neptune. Both seem to fit and I can't find much difference between the two in terms of the end result, but I haven't tested that extensively. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The Laskey 30 G is said to be designed specifically for a rotary horn ( I dont know why or what the diff. might be ) , dont think the shank will make any difference, the aforementioned Blokepiece symphony is rock solid and clarity is definately one of its strengths...
