Within the trombone world there appears being a diversity of instrument types adapted to the demographic segment within which they are played:
Most civilian bands play normal trombones with hand slides. Of course cardiologists tend to play valve trombones, and some fishermen’s bands play bass trombones exclusively.
Army trombonists use landslides, marine trombonists use mudslides, and navy trombonists play water-slides, which are said to work very smoothly.
Do similar adaptions exist within the tuba world?
