If I'm still alive, and I think I am, I'd like to see that collage. I consider myself a fan of Mr. Serling.goodgigs wrote:(My mother dated Rod Serling in collage)

And by then the human race will probably have destroyed itself (we're doing a hell of a job so far)KiltieTuba wrote:Science knows - when the Sun goes supernova, it will expand/explode out to about Jupiter (IIRC) consuming the first four planets (including Earth) in the process... but that isn't supposed to happen for another 50 million years or so.schlepporello wrote:Never had any doubts about today. I took my wife and her family out to lunch to commemorate her 60th birthday, we all went out for icecream afterwords, bought myself a new wristwatch and came home for a nap. I wonder if the heretic who started this May 21 thing is having as good a day.
Knowing the scriptures as well as I do, I knew better than to give any heed to the lunatic ramblings of this man or his followers. I do believe such a day is coming, but no one will know what day that will be and all will be surprised when it happens.

OMG! We just had an earthquake a few miles north of here. Must have been 1 or 2 on the Richter scale. LOL

Macho Man is gone! Yup. 'Macho Man' Randy Savage has left the room.

And even then, it would be only our planet. Not that I have any idea how it's supposed to work - maybe it was enough of a step up from Hebrew tribal deity to planetary deity, and the rest of the universe is on its own - but I would expect the official story to be truly universal. Of which we would be only a tiny speck.KiltieTuba wrote: Science knows - when the Sun goes supernova, it will expand/explode out to about Jupiter (IIRC) consuming the first four planets (including Earth) in the process... but that isn't supposed to happen for another 50 million years or so.
