(band) tuba parts needed

Post by Norm in Bellevue »

Next month I'll be playing in the band at Midummer Musical Retreat. I'm told that I'm to be the only tubist, and I'd like to get a head start on the music. The three pieces the band will be playing are
1. "Alleluia, Laudamus Te" by Alfred Reed
2. "Children's March" by Percy Grainger
3. "Chorale and Shaker Dance" by John Zdechlik

I've listened to the three pieces on youtube. None sound particularily difficult, but I would like to show up at the first rehearsal knowing every note. So if anyone has a copy of any of these three pieces, and can scan them to send them on to me, I'd be most grateful. FWIW, I'll be performing the pieces using purchased parts.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, Norm!
I will see if I our new Director here in Longview is available. We have a huge library at Lower Columbia College, and I remember performing all 3 of those works at one time or another on String Bass and/or Tuba. Come to think of it, I played "Children's March" with the Centralia Community Band this Spring! Not sure about that Director's whereabouts either... None of the works is especially challenging! Good luck finding someone around during the Summer! Central or Western may have someone who could help during the Summer, so you might try those institutions.
