A couple of decades ago, Evansville Indiana public schools had one of the finest music programs in The Nation. It's dwindle a bit over the last few years and some of the grade school programs were cut.
Today... with the influence of a new superintendent (a trumpet player) and new arts director (a band director), the grade school programs have been reinstated and things are looking up:
