Re: Conn Baritone 4v short action
Almost certainly NOT short action. I had a short action Conn that was a 3 valver, detachable bell, and the flattening at the ports was pretty distinctive. The slot-key valve caps were pretty common for Conn once - made it easy to unscrew them using a coin. Or screwdriver (ouch).

Re: Conn Baritone 4v short action
To a serious collector... $600 may have been a good buy. That was indeed a very rare short-action euphonium. Conn made scads of the three-valve version but I've never seen a four-valve one. I parted out one a few years ago and built my own four-valve one to used in my 'old man' days. I figured I would never see a REAL one. I lost interest at the $500 mark.snorlax wrote:I maxed out at $150...did I see the thing went for $600???????
