Voigt tuba mutes

Post by bisontuba »

Hi-
With enjoying the Voigt practice mute for the Xu Qiu F travel tuba, I was wondering if anyone in the U.S. has or is using the Voigt straight and/or practice F and/or BBb tuba mute(s)? They are pricey, but if they - the tuba mutes- are as good as the travel tuba practice mute, they are worth it. I don't think anyone carries Voigt mutes in the U.S., but wanted to see if any Tuba-Netters are using the full size Voigt mutes?

Not tuba mutes, but I use those practice mutes for both tenor and bass trombone. Very, very good mutes, the only thing is they are not so silent as the Silent Brass. Otoh they are lighter and plays very good at a slightly higher level. Tuning is perfect and they are playable all over the register.
