I would really love to improve my high range to reach my goal of high Bb 2 octaves above Bb in the staff. As of now I top out at high F above the staff and can go a bit higher but lose all musicality. My high school's sousaphones have TONS of resistance so I can squeak out high Bb (2 octaves above Bb in the staff) on a good day and since I'm a freshman I get the bad tuba so who knows whats stuck in there causing even more resistance!
Some tips and tricks would be appreciated!
And also what is the highest note you can play with musicality and control over dynamics from ppp to FFF?

If you can play F above the staff with musicality on a BBb tuba, I suggest you check the box that says high range, and forget it.
