Hello folks,

I'd like to alert you to a record release party this weekend at Andy's Jazz Club, 11 E. Hubbard, Chicago 60611 by the group 'C11', featuring the arrangements of the great Marty Paitch, notable and relevant to us in that there is a dedicated Tuba chair in the group. The group is led by Jeff Hedburg, a wonderful singer who, if you close your eyes, you'll swear sounds just like Mel Torme. C11's book consists of all the charts Marty did for both Mel and Art Pepper, and the band is all top drawer Chicagoland pros. I'm proud to be a part of this unique, hard swinging wonderful group.
Showtimes Friday and Saturday Octuba 28th and 29th, 9:30pm - 1:30am. $15 cover.
