At 6:20, is that a 3 piece tuba bell?

A bass tuba in its upper register is going to sound a lot like a tenor -- nothing odd about that. Here's another example:

Hard to tell, if that shot shows a tuba a three-piece bell.

Would that feature be useful?

Hardly in real life tuba playing unless traveling with two compact cases is the goal. The upper stack might be storable inside the bell throat. Only I haven’t noticed bell rings/collars on the OB videos from the concerts in the US.

I might see a purpose for a modular instrument in the prototype phase, where minor differences in taper could be tested that way.

Oystein had Miraphone make some modifications to his Starlight for transportation purposes. For example, the entire valve lever unit folds down. I don't remember the bell but I suspect it breaks down and packs like the screw bell horns that seem to be the rage right now.

It is a very soloistic tuba and the sound is much more euphonium than what we "purists" (

) consider a typical tuba sound. Maybe RM will chime in and answer all the questions...

Maybe I'm splitting hairs... But in a blind test I can tell that the Bydlo is a tuba, I have heard it enough times on F tuba to know that. However, with Oystein's new tuba, it sounds a lot more euphonium-like than when I heard him live.
