Quick pitch question--G contrabass vs. BBb tuba

Is a G contra bugle pitched a third below or a sixth above a BBb tuba? This question came up for discussion and I gamely took a shot at "the sixth above"; now my curiosity is piqued!
A bonus question: What is the length of the open bugle?
