I wanna invite you all to give to the International Rescue Committee.

http://www.theirc.org

They are one of the world's foremost aid organizations, and one of the most financially responsible (meaning they have a very low overhead, and a very high percentage of your donations actually go to aid -- not all aid orgs are like this).
The IRC was featured on ABC's Primetime Live a couple of nights ago.

Mrs. TubaJoe works at their headquarters here in NYC and has been working overtime due to the situation.

While this pales in comparison to the current tragedy, the IRC has a relationship to music as well, as during WWII they rescued several of Mahler's original scores from the Nazis that would have been lost forever and never heard again. (see the movie Varian's War, it is about the IRC during WWII)

The IRC is now a huge organization worldwide -- their specialty is clean water and sanitation, which is one of the main issues with this current tragedy.
