Is the second space "C" as flat (ref: 10K) as it tends to be across-the-board with 14K/36K instruments? I love those instruments, that that "C" being the only real stumbling block.

You can fix that by making the upper loop of the 1st valve circuit into a moveable slide, then trimming the lower tubes, both inner and outer, about 5/8 inch. Then you can push for 2nd space C, pull for everything else needing a pull.

I seem to remember the 30's 32K I used to own had a 24" bell like the 14K's do.

According to this brochure the 10K sports a 26" bell.

For what it's worth.

Good luck with the new horn. Buy it and if it doesn't work out between the two of you; sell it.
