Any experience with one brand or the other? Which do you prefer? Let me hear your opinions / experience. Are the SKBs worth the extra cash?

Love the MTS sous cases; you can jump on them.
Hate their tuba cases. Reminds me of the Conn cases; pretty tough all over EXCEPT the lid. You can dent it in just above the valve section with one hand. Above the valve section. Bad idea.

I used an MTS case on a recent trip to China and came back with no damage to the horn. This included a flight on a Chinese ariline. I added some padding to the bell area and some bubble wrap to help hold it in place but not any damage to the horn. I did visit the factory on my return and they made a pad for the bell section and one for the side for a better fit.
