My tuba instructor, Dr. J.D. Salas, recently gave a lecture recital on the history of banda music. Very cool style, and a ton of fun to play!

When visiting Mexico I approached a bootleg c.d. seller and asked him "what c.d.s do you have with lots of tuba?". This is what he gave me :D

J.D. is awesome! He gave the Banda Sinaloense lecture recital here at the University of Kentucky too. It's great that he's a two-time UK alum now.
