...where sometimes you find a list of performers (signature, date, location/organization, etc) on the last page..
For example-
The director of our Arapahoe Philharmonic was a huge Respighi enthusiast (these are mostly rentals) and we played at least one selection every year. Many of the partsI read from have had names and dates added. When we did Roman Festivals earlier in the season, there were several sigs on the back, all from Europe.
He passed away suddenly during concert a couple of weeks ago, and we just did a memorial/celebration concert for him ( ...with Pines on it, of course...) but I was a bit surprised that no names added on THIS set of parts that was obviously more well-travelled than most.
They also passed out On The Waterfront parts for our next show. This time, mine was signed by some guy named Baer....
So I'm curious--
How often do YOU find a list of previous performers (signature, date, location/organization, etc) on the last page?
Do you normally add yours (or start the chain letter?)
It is one other way that we cross paths with one another--but a message in a bottle, rather than online....and if those pages could tell their stories....
