NERTEC 2013

Please take a moment to bookmark the NERTEC 2013 in your calendar. It will be held April 19-21st at the Ithaca College, School of Music.

So far we have loads of artists who have agreed to come and be a part of this event. Steven Mead, Velvet Brown, Carol Jantsch, Tim Buzbee, Alan Baer, Warren Deck, Craig Sutherland, Tom McCaslin, and the Eufonix Quartet plan to be with us, and many more have been invited and will soon be confirmed.

Competitions for HS Euph &Tuba, Collegiate Euph&Tuba, and a Mock Orchestral division will be held as well. Phil Giampietro will serve as the competitions coordinator.

Please stay tuned for updates/information in the coming months as there will be a website going live later this summer/early fall.

I am VERY excited and frankly honored to be helping out with this event. I wanted to put it out there that we are considering adding mock military band audition competitions, based on interest. There have not been competitions at the last few NERTECs, but if adding additional divisions will raise interest in the conference, we are all for it!
