Your favorite cuts/rubs/marinades

Post by Trevor Bjorklund »

Well, it's finally warmed up to the point where the grill is coming out but the mosquitos haven't yet gotten the word.

What are your favorite cuts for grilling? Marinades?

I almost never pass up the opportunity to go simple:
Decent t-bone sprinkled with lemon-pepper and a little salt, let it sit for 30 minutes at room temperature, then 3 minutes per side over the hottest coals possible, finally letting sit for 5 minutes under loose foil. Perfect every time.

I really enjoy a rib steak with no marinade, just some steak spice. If money is tighter, I'll usually buy a nice piece of sirloin.

I don't really like striploin so much, so I rarely buy t-bones. To me, they seem a tad overpriced. (Prices are around 12-15 $/lb around here)

BBb to CC is my favorite cut, not sure what marinade or dry rub would be best though

I did some lamb chops with a lemon pepper rub this weekend that turned out really well. Gonna try some fish with a mango lime rub this weekend.
