I got the answer - guy seemed pretty sure it was low pitch, which is what I thought ... in good nick, isn't it?

I googled a bit:

wrapped like a 3-valve compensated
serial number dates to 1969/70
B&H/Besson stopped making high pitch in 1965, so this is low-pitch (A=440)

Yeah, looks real clean.
