My $15 Ebay horn restored

I have about $150 in it. It looks and plays great. I thought I was buying a raw brass horn that had been painted black, If you look at the pics in the listing you'll see why.

I was suprised and delighted to find that not only was it silver but the plating is about 95% intact. Biggest expense was professional dent removal and having the lead pipe resoldered. I replaced valve springs and felts, corks seem fine. Valves are quite good, I was able to unstick all the slides and the mouthpiece.

It has the original mouthpiece marked simply "baritone" but I have been using other small shank mouthpieces. I like the New York Bach 11 and the Conn2 I have. I'm sure I'll graduate some day.

Thanks all, I couldn't be happier with it. Now if I can make it sound as good as it looks.

Valve photos are on the original ebay listing. They don't look great, some discoloration on them and dents on the part where the springs seat, but they are totally smooth, no catches or sluggishness and compression is perfect. I took off the tuning slide and covered it and tried all the valve configurations, no leaks at all. I replaced the felts and springs.
