I'm getting music compiled for a recital later on, and I would like to know what everyone's favorite Baroque solo arrangements are. I've been looking around, but I wanted to get a feel for what may be "standard vs. eclectic". My only constraint is that I have no F tuba, so what I pick would be ideal (range-wise) for the CC horn.
Thanks all!

Baroque arrangements for solo tuba
There are appropriate times for beauty and crudeness - use both.

Benedetto Marcello: Sonata in a minor for double bass (not arranged for tuba; you have to transpose octaves). Very nice work. Not very difficult, but impressive sounding to the audience. Works best on CC.

Also try the Ricercar by Domenico Gabrielli, this is not played enough.
Here is the Ricercar on CC, it works very well and it will tax your breathing skills.

You can try the Douglas Bixby/Roger Bobo - Bach for Tuba book. Very good baroque book for Contrabass tuba. Recently played partita in A minor for flute from the book. Challenging but good range for CC and works on fingers.

How about this - I think it's in the book mentioned above?
