Looking for mouthpiece

Post by jma78 »

I'm looking for a Helleberg style mouthpiece sized between Conn Helleberg 7B and Conn Helleberg 120S (both these Conns that I have are made in the mid 90's).

Cooley Helleberg, Laskeys and Doug Elliotts are not right for me.

Could Schilke Helleberg II be what I'm looking for? Is the feel of the cup diameter smaller than the 120S?

Any suggestions?

The SH II is similar to the Laskey 30H. It feels and plays a bit smaller and brighter than the laskey (at least for me it does). The SH II has a more rounded rim than the Conn 120 and I think the cup is slightly deeper with a little bit of a rounded cup at the bottom. I'd definitely recommend that you try it, its a good piece :tuba:
