John Worster Search
I happened upon a number of videos on YouTube that featured a dixieland group made up of members of "The New Glen Miller Band". The group was led by the late Ray McKinley who also played drums during the dixieland numbers. These videos were taken from a series of performances that the group did on CBS during the 1960"s. Does anyone have any information on their fantastic bassist, John Worster (sp)? I know that he also played with Stan Kenton later in his career. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really enjoyed listening to his playing!

John is in a nursing home in Rowlett, Texas. he hasn't been able to play for some time...He played with Stan Kenton, Vic Damone, and others....he was last playing with the Jeanne Maxwell Quartet in Dallas. If you need more info please let me know....I am his sister so do know a bit about him.
