Video - Helicon vs Sexy Boxing Tiger.

Post by bstevens »

Hi

I thought you fellow tubites would be interested in seeing the UK swing scene in action - I'm on helicon with my band - The Swing Ninjas - boxing a tiger, underground (obviously):

That was fun - did you ever listen to the early Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band?

I like having bass and tuba - more freedom for the tuba to play accents and riffs (and everybody can sing!)

I see from your website that you do a burlesque show - ever hear of a band from Los Angeles called Vaud and the Villains - well worth a look! http://www.vaudandthevillains.com

David you find the best bands - great stuff - keep 'em coming - music is always better with scantily clad women gyrating in front of the band!

I saw them live a few weeks ago - the dancers are really quite good - especially when they dance the "hoochie-coochie" to an old-time gospel number ;-)
The whole ensemble puts on a high quality show (while seeming to be very "loose" on stage.) BTW, the sousaphone player is David Silverman, who is a producer/director for The Simpsons as his day job.
