Sousaphone beer keg on Thingamabob

Post by Bandmaster »

I just happened to turn on a new show on the H2 History Channel tonight called Thingamabob, an invention show. They are adapting an old Olds fiberglass sousaphone to activate the spout in a beer keg. They glued a plastic blatter over the bell so they can blow air into the horn so the blatter expands pushing a lever system to activate the keg's spout. Sousaphone and beer.... it's a natural! :tuba:

You have to pay to watch the clip on Youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBUHuEIsUWk ) but if you have dish or cable TV on demand it is available to watch.

It is pretty much as described.

I found it for free on the History channel. Cool history info on tubas/sousaphones. Interesting show!
