If any Tubenetters will be on Oahu in early May, please consider checking out the University of Hawaii Bands Aloha Concerts. This year's Wind Ensemble concert will feature two students from my studio, tubist Casey Kitano will perform the 1st movement of the Gregson Tuba Concerto as the winner of the student Concerto Competition and euphoniumnist Jordan Goto will see the premiere of his new work "Adrenaline Rush" as the winner of the student Composition Competition! ...and if that wasn't enough the ensemble will be performing Maslanka's 4th Symphony!
