I am selling an old Besson Stratford. I was going to use it for parts on projects, but decided to go a different route.

Not pretty, not "sexy" not anything to take to an audition, but it is a completely functional BBb tuba that is pretty light for the size on the cheap. Good for a loaner, or for something to grab when you are going to be playing on the back of a truck and you don't want to dent your Gronitz or your Alex.

The silver is thin and worn through at spots. The bell has been rolled out a time or two, and a break in the rim repaired. I polished it with some Medallian silver plating polish to add a little silver and it doesn't look too bad. I think the pistons are recent replacements or were fairly recently redone, because they are nice, and the compression is great.
