Fiberglass bell question

Post by gudge07 »

Hello all,

I came across a fiberglass bell with a 26in. diameter. There are no markings on the bell. Seems to me it might be for a Conn 36K. If anyone has more knowledge please let me know.

Thanks!

Bell diameters varied somewhat. Measure the diameter of the tenon:

Sousaphone bells:
- Conn 22K (short action) = 7 1/4"
- Conn 36K = 6"
- King = 6 5/16"
- Olds = 6.58"
- Selmer/Bundy = 6 1/16"
