case for Meinl Weston 32

Post by BBruce107 »

Hello, I have a Meinl Weston 32 CC tuba with 5 valves and was curious about hard cases. What size case would I need to fit my horn. (I have a gig bag but would like a hard case for traveling).

What exactly do you mean by "what size?" I have a hard case for mine, although it is not a good one. Would you like the interior dimensions of that?

You can check the MTS website for a case sizing program. It works fine. The cases are reasonably priced and work well. I used mine as a flight case for an overseas flight with good result. They aren't a true flight case though. If you are just using it to store the horn for ground transport it should be fine. The wheels work well and it is easy to pull.

I hear that the 186 is similar in size to the 32, I will check MTS. What confuses me is the difference in the size designations between cases.
