A commissioning consortium is being formed for award-winning composer, Sy Brandon, to compose an early college level composition for tuba/euphonium quartet. The title of the piece would be Emoticons and would be an aural representation of emotions in three movements. The first would be Jealousy and be at a fast tempo. The second would be Loneliness and would be slow and legato. The last would be Euphoria and be moderately fast and majestic. The composition would be 8-10 minutes total. Participation is only $25 with part of the fee refundable. Deadline for indicating interest is May 31, 2015.
