Instrument Database!

Post by nimrod480 »

Hi, My name is Nimrod Ron and now im a member of the TubaNews.com staff.

Who am I and what am I doing here ?

Wow, tough question, my name is Nimrod Ron as i stated above and I am a Tuba player from little Israel, I am also a new member of the TubaNews.com staff, my job here is to help the Instrument Database keep growing and growing.

Who am I ? Click here : http://www.tubanews.com/profile116.html to find out

What Is The Instrument Database ? Good Question!!

The instrument database is a database that we created for all instrument we know of and all data that we can gather about the instruments including photos, specifications and further descriptions of the instrument.

What is it ? Find our here : http://www.tubanews.com/instrumentshome.html

What are we trying to establish ?

We are trying to establish a database that will contain all information about every tuba ever existed, so far we gathered information about every model in about 15 firms (as Yamaha, Meinel-weston, Hirsbrunner etc..) we got all the specifications and photos of every model and the database is growing and growing each day!

What do we need from you ?

We ask you for one thing, if you look in the database and you know of an instrument that isnt there please submit it to the database, when we'll open the database to the public there will be a submit form that you will have the opprotunity to add an instrument to the database.

Where do i submit ? Right here : http://www.tubanews.com/gate.html?name= ... ile=submit

What should I do if i have a custom made tuba ?

Good question, because of this we add a catagory called "Custom/Other Tubas", tubas custom made like a Nirchl or a 12 Valve Miraphone with Besson 24" Bell gold plated will go to the "Custom/Other Tubas" catagory

What should i do if i have other questions ?

You can just contact me at nimrod@tubanews.com

Get ready for THE Database!

Ok then I need to get some puctus of my Olds (or one in beter shape :( ) to and add it.

What about horns that were marketed under several names?
I know My Olds was sold as a Reynolds and a Bach. Severaly other horns were sold with multiple names.
