a single petal of a rose

Post by peter birch »

I heard Joe Temperley play this Duke Ellington piece in the UK a while ago, and have just listened to it again on u-tube . Does anyone know if there is a transcription for tuba out there?

Hey, I dig that. I think you could write your own solo part and with a bit of luck find a goanna player who, working with you, could do that part. Use it as a "template" for YOUR music.

Bass clarinets were always one of my favourite instruments to overhaul as the play testing was so much fun!!!

Think I'll buy the bits and pieces to overhaul an old clarinet a mate wants restored. Very old ,but probably good. Won't make any money on it and told him pay or I keep it. Oh what the hell, I'll fix it then let him have it and give him some lessons after I have some fun with it. It was his father's and when he was young heard his father play and he just wants to find what this world of music is all about.
