Could be. looks too small for a BBb.

I KNOW it's not a BBb. I'd like to have the valve section (.708") to build another cimbasso.

I'm curious, how well do these Miraphone Eb's play? We all know the solid reputation of the 186's, but I haven't seen/read much about their Eb's.

I just hope those bidders aren't thinking they're getting a 186....
Jordan
King 2341 with a Holton "Monster" Eb bell
Eb Frankentuba
Martin Medium Eb Helicon

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving's probably not for you.

I played one for a couple of years when I first got back into playing about twenty years ago. I was thrilled to get it but it didn't take me long to outgrow it. Probably a good horn for solo work but certainly not a place for this small horn in a concert band. Like another poster already mentioned... the 183 has a very weak bottom end and isn't capable of much below a D below the staff.
