Schlipf Tour Mute

Does anyone have any experience with it? Does it sound decent as a mute and does the ring work well enough as a practice mute? How adjustable are the corks? (could the same mute fit a Rudy 3/4 and a 983 or Pt-15)?

Are you talking about the mute that breaks in half? I LOVE mine.

Mine doesn't have cork, but rubber bumpers. He designs them for specific tubas, so if the bell shape is similar, could work. But send him an email, he was always fast to respond to me.

I love it, folds in half, fits in the gig bag, and sounds great!

The "Mnozil tour mute" definitely comes in different sizes.
Send an eMail to johann.schlipfinger@gmx.at" target="_blank and I´m sure he´ll be happy to advise something that´ll fit.
He makes it a point clarifying a musian´s specific needs prior to sale.

Good luck

Hello,
I've got one of this for my f tuba (melton 45hq-s) and it is a very good mute, and I used it as practice mute and i confirm it works perfectly well.
