Miraphone 1293

Post by one.kidney »

Does anyone know where online or in real life I could test play a Miraphone 1293 New Yorker tuba? I'm in the market for a 5/4 and based on reviews and specs, I seem to like it, although I have never played one. Any suggestions? Also, does anyone know how often WWBW, Horn Guys, Baltimore Brass. Co, Dillon Music carries these horns?

Greetings,

I unfortunately do not know who carries the horn, but I just wanted to help you out by saying that you stated two different models. The "New Yorker" is a 1292, and the Miraphone 1293 is the horn with the interchangeable lead pipes.

Good luck!

Not sure how often it happens, but the last time I was at Dillon's (eek, 2 years ago!) they had a 1291, 1292, and 1293 all there at the same time.
