Hi all,
I am trying to see if anyone in the Houston area may have an extra CC tuba laying around.
I'm teaching in town the next 2 weeks doing some clinics on the All State etudes and I wasn't able to bring my horn with me since it's having some repair work done on it back in Georgia (where I live).
I am used to playing on 6/4 horns, so while that may be an impossibility to borrow something like that, even a solid 5/4 would be ok with me.
I am willing to pay to borrow an instrument if that helps.
I have this weekend open where I can meet up with someone to grab the tuba.
Please PM me only. I'm having some trouble with my email, but I'll make sure to check on here several times a day for new messages.
Sorry for the short notice, but hopefully someone can help me out.
Thanks!

Re: Looking to Borrow a CC Tuba (Houston Area)
First off, I appreciate your posts. I haven't played BBb tuba in about 16 years, and I would hate to try to demonstrate good sound and technique on a horn I'm uncomfortable on as I'm sure possibly a few people have been in that situation before and can sympathize.
I used to live and teach in Houston so I had already been working at this school for years. Since schools in GA start school again next week and the fact that Texas doesn't go back to school until near the end of August, it gives me a chance to work with former students and colleagues again that I haven't seen in a while.
The first person I reached out to when I arrived in town was a former teacher, but as he is on vacation and won't be back for another week and a half, I thought I'd head to Tubenet to see if I could find some help that way.
Luckily, someone did get in touch with me, and I will be good for the upcoming weeks.
